Your username is publicly visible on leaderboards and in group competitions. All other personal information (email, name, date of birth) is kept private.
MatchPool offers a free-to-play main competition where users predict the outcomes of FIFA World Cup matches. The free competition:
In addition to the free competition, MatchPool offers paid group competitions with real money prize pools.
A platform fee is deducted from the total prize pool before distribution. The fee is tiered based on the total prize pool size:
After deducting the platform fee, the remaining prize pool (net pool) is distributed as follows:
Any rounding remainder is added to the first place prize. Alternative distribution modes (winner-take-all, top 5, top 10) may be available depending on group settings.
Winners receive their prizes via Stripe Connect. To receive a payout, winners must set up a Stripe Connected Account and agree to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement. Payouts are processed within 14 business days of competition finalisation and results being confirmed. Prizes are paid in USD.
Stripe may decline or delay payouts for compliance reasons. MatchPool is not liable for any delays or declines resulting from Stripe's compliance processes.
Winners are solely responsible for any tax obligations arising from prizes received. MatchPool does not withhold taxes and does not provide tax advice. We recommend consulting a qualified tax professional regarding your prize winnings.
All payments are processed securely through Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment processor. MatchPool does not store, process, or have access to your full credit card details.
By making a payment, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
Refund eligibility depends on the competition status:

Nothing in this refund policy excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable consumer protection legislation.

The MatchPool name, logo, and all related content, features, and functionality are owned by MatchPool and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
Match data, team information, and tournament schedules are sourced from third-party providers and remain the property of their respective owners.
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
We make reasonable efforts to ensure the accuracy of match results and scoring, but we do not guarantee the absence of errors. In the event of a scoring error, we will make corrections as soon as practicable.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you:
You may delete your account at any time by contacting [email protected]. If you have paid entry fees in active prize pools at the time of termination, those entry fees will be refunded to your original payment method within 14 business days, except where the termination is due to conduct that directly manipulated those competitions.
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and the laws of the Commonwealth of Australia applicable therein.
Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Service will first be subject to good-faith negotiation between the parties for a period of 30 days. If the dispute is not resolved within that period, either party may refer the matter to the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) or another appropriate court or tribunal with jurisdiction.
Nothing in this clause prevents either party from seeking urgent injunctive or other equitable relief from a court of competent jurisdiction.
